WA Whisky History

Modern History of Whisky in Western Australia

High tariffs and a low supply brought about by both world wars weened many Western Australians off of whisky. In its place, wine and beer became the liquor of choice. However, whisky has never lost its place the most polished and refined spirit of them all, with the best sitting rightfully on the highest shelf. So what happened to whisky in Western Australia after this turbulent period?

Well, this is where we are now asking something from you. We want to collaborate on writing The Modern History of Whisky in Western Australia. We want you to join us in discovering just how whisky has shaped the state in recent times. From Albany to Perth to Port Headland, and everywhere in between.

Cheers.
